Nikon Monarch vs. Eagle Optics Ranger

Q, from Karyn:

I am looking at Nikon Monarch ATB 8x42 Binoculars on your website and see that you have refurbished binoculars at a nice price.

May I ask what type of warranty these would have if purchased?

Also, comparing the Nikon to Eagle Optics Ranger SRT 8x42 Binoculars….I do not see much of a difference. Which would you recommend and why?

A: Karyn, the refurbed Monarchs come with Nikon's US warranty, 25 years of coverage for manufacturing defects.

The Monarchs and Rangers are quite similar. The Rangers have a far more comprehensive warranty coverage, and in my opinion, are a bit sharper and brighter to the edge. The Rangers would come here to Eagle Optics if you needed service and are covered under a lifetime, no fault, no charge warranty. Anything outside of theft or loss is covered for free!
