Scope, tripod, digiscoping setup?

Q from Matt:
A few months ago we purchased binoculars from you guys. Very happy with them. I will have a new project in the summer on Jacana hybrid zones, and will need a spotting scope for behavioral analysis.
I'm not experienced with spotting scopes, so I'd like your feedback. The main use would be for observing facial shields at a distance on Jacanas. But we would also like to use it as a digiscoping setup.
Because of price to value considerations, I'm rather keen on the Vortex Razor HD. But we need a complete system, tripod, etc. Could you prepare a package and a quotation?

A: I agree that the Vortex Razor would be an excellent choice in terms of great optics and value.

For the tripod and tripod head, I would recommend the Manfrotto 128RC Micro Fluid Tripod Head and the Manfrotto 055 XB Tripod Legs. If you prefer the more lightweight and vibration-dampening features of a carbon fiber tripod leg set, I would recommend the Manfrotto 055CX3 Carbon Fiber Tripod Legs.

You may want to view our short video entitled Digiscoping Fundamentals. In the video, we use the Razor and Mike shows the adapter you would need for digiscoping.
