I am bowled over by the prices of the Surefire flashlights. What could they possibly be to warrant such a price tag?
Thanks for your inquiry. Your question is a very legitimate one and one I asked myself prior to having experience with these lights. I've owned a Surefire G2 flashlight for about 3 years now, well before we ever started selling these.
Here is a link to the light I'm talking about: http://www.eagleoptics.com/flashlights/surefire/surefire-g2-handheld-flashlight
What makes these flashlights so wonderful is their performance in combination with their compact size. My little Surefire light is brighter and illuminates objects at much greater distances than the trusty Maglite that I have which is about 7 times the size and weight of my little Surefire light. At $41.30, this particular light wasn't much more expensive than the clunky Maglite I was used to using and it takes two compact batteries rather than 3 D-Cell batteries.
I can promise you that if you compared one of the Surefire lights to any existing flashlights you have, you would see the difference. As to weather or not these differences justify the higher price tag, that's a question that only the end-user can answer for themselves.
If you have any other questions, please don't hesitate to email or call.
