Should I buy a "demo" binocular?

On your website, I often see deals on "demo" binoculars and spotting scopes. Often the price is $200-$300 less than a new one at retail price. Is there a difference in quality and appearance between the new and demo models? Would you personally buy a demo model or is it better to buy brand new? Please advise.

Hi Matt,
Demo models are, for the most part, in near-perfect condition and you wouldn't be able to tell it from an off-the-shelf, new model.  Occasionally we see a small scuff mark on the rubber armoring, but that is rare, and the optics are always in good working condition.

The demo models come with the same accessories that a new one does. The warranty will vary depending on the brand.

Personally, I would opt for a demo model while it's available.  If you have any concerns about one of the demo models, we would be happy to personally inspect one prior to shipping out.
