Which tripod and head for large scopes?

I recently purchased a Kowa TSN 883 spotting scope from you and now would like to find a suitably matched tripod.  I will also be using this scope for digiscoping in the future with a digital SLR camera.
I am currently looking at the Manfrotto 700RC2 Tripod Head with  055XB Tripod Legs.

Do you see these as appropriate choices?  Are there other tripods I should be looking at?  These are at the top end of my budget.

Hi Lee,
I would not recommend the 700RC2 tripod head for a larger scope or for digiscoping.  It's a lighter weight tripod head and the panning action is pretty poor compared to the Manfrotto 128RC tripod head, which is a much nicer head.

Here are the links:

It would also be advantageous to consider the excellent (and less expensive) Vanguard Abeo 283 AV Tripod Kit, recently added to the Eagle Optics inventory.

Please call or e-mail if you have any other questions.
