Bushnell Legend scope test results

Hello,
I have 2 questions about this . Is there any color fringing along dark objects--a colored line along dark edges?

And is most of the central viewing area sharp when viewing at 200 yards or so?

Thanks,

David N.

Hi David,

Thank you for your interest in Eagle Optics and the .

With any scope in this price range you will see some color fringing, especially in high contrast areas.  The Legend Ultra has a modest level of color fringing: about what one would expect from its price range.

At 200 yards I tested the resolution with a resolution chart we have here at Eagle Optics.  I was able to make out writing on the chart that was less than 1’ tall.  I’d say that it has slightly above average resolution for its price range.

Overall it is a pretty good scope optically, but I feel I should let you know that I was not thrilled with its build quality.  The rubber armoring feels spongy to the touch, and both the focus wheel and magnification ring are very stiff and hard to move.  In this price range, another scope to consider would be the It has comparable resolution and color fringing, with a smoother focus wheel/magnification ring, and it has a better warranty than the Bushnell.

Please let me know if you have any other questions.

Sincerely,

Eagle Optics
