Can a trail camera be used for birdwatching?

Hi,
Can you tell me which trail camera is best for bird watching?
Thank you.
David

Hi David,
Thanks for your inquiry.

Trail cameras can be used to monitor bird feeders any time—therefore showing you which birds visit your bird feeders (especially when you’re not home).  Trail cameras can also be installed near bird houses and birdbaths.  But for general bird watching, a binocular will serve your needs better.

At one time Eagle Optics carried several types of trail cameras, but we are discontinuing that product line from our inventory. The last model remaining is the Leupold RCX-1 Trail Camera.  For great pics and ease of use, I much preferred the Cuddeback brand trail camera that is featured in this video:  http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=OP03s_icpE8.  As I said, we no longer sell it--but I’m sure you can find the excellent Cuddeback Trail Camera online.

If you’re looking for a binocular for birding, we’d be happy to chat with you and make recommendations based on your budget!  We look forward to talking with you.

Sincerely,

Eagle Optics
