Need binoculars for 6-year-old boys

Hi, Eagle Optics crew.

I have two young boys who need binoculars. I’ve been looking at the backyard birder kits you have, but had a question about specs that I can’t find answered anywhere: what is the minimum inter-pupillary distance (IPD) for the Vanguard Orros 8x32 binoculars? (For that matter, what’s the range of IPD adjustment?)

Both boys are young (6 years old) with relatively close set eyes, so it’s an important point for me to consider.

Hi Ben,
Thanks for your inquiry.  The IPD on the 8x32 Orros is 57mm -74mm.  Depending on the kids, this may not go close enough.  If that's the case, check out this

The IPD on the Kingbird is 49mm - 72mmm

If there is anything else I can help you with, please let us know.

Best regards,
Eagle Optics
