Does the Vortex Razor Scope accept a polarizing filter?

Hi —
Considering a . In addition to birding, I plan on using it for viewing the moon etc. I would like to use a polarizing filter to reduce the moon glare.
My question is — will the Razor accept screw-on filters?
I would appreciate your opinion.

Thanks for your time,

Austin, TX

Hi Richard,
Sorry it's take us so long to get back to you on this.  We had to do some digging around to find the answer.

The front barrel of the Razor HD is NOT threaded.  It does have fine, concentric ridges around the inside of it which appear to be threads but they are in fact not.  These tiny ridges are designed to help secure the objective lens cover in place.  It is not possible to screw in a filter of any type in front of the objective lens of that scope.

If there is anything else we can help you with, please let me know.

Best regards,
Eagle Optics
